We were happy to participate this week in a workshop presented by mobilbranche, and speaker Stefan Bielau gave great insights into app marketing. Here are some key takeaways.

Bielau has a pretty comprehensive approach when it comes to app promotion. Don’t just do one thing good – do everything right. One important factor is that OS and devices have vastly different audiences, so it’s better to offer separate apps, e.g. for iPad and iPhone. The vast majority of app users will access stores directly rather than through search or follow recommendations. This means that localization of the app description screen has great importance.

All in all, a great workshop – highly recommended.
